  1. David Dondero. David Dondero is an American singer/songwriter. In , NPR's All Songs Considered named Dondero one of the "best living songwriters" alongside Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney and Tom Waits. Dondero's career began in the mid's with the release of four records with Clemson, SC-based punk band Sunbrain- three on Grass Records and one on Ghostmeat Records.
  2. Conor Mullen Oberst (born February 15, ) is an American singer-songwriter best known for his work in Bright has also played in several other bands, including Desaparecidos, The Faint (previously named Norman Bailer), Commander Venus, Park Ave., Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, Monsters of Folk, and Better Oblivion Community Center.
  3. Oberst had two older brothers, Matthew Ryan Oberst, Jr. and Justin H. Oberst. Matthew was a teacher and part-time musician until his death in , and helped finance one of Oberst's self-released independent albums. Matt was also in the indie band Sorry About Dresden, which Conor played in .
  4. Secret Bases wiki - Conor Oberst. In January , Oberst began playing drums in a group named Park Ave., alongside Clark Baechle, Jenn Bernard, Neely Jenkins (now in the band Tilly and the Wall), and Jamie Williams (also in Tilly and the Wall). The group only played between 10 and 15 shows and made a handful of recordings (several of them with Mike Mogis as producer).
  5. Oct 04,  · David Dondero might be on Conor Oberst's Team Love record label but he doesn't necessarily have to sound like him, does he? Well in some songs he does. If Oberst did I'm Wide Awake It's Morning without the quivering voice and with more country, David Dondero would come out lookin' like a copy-cat now wouldn't he? Dondero has Oberst's witty lyrics without the whining.
  6. The first three songs are just top of the line. “Palm Springs” opens the disc with a wonderful air of freedom. “San Francisco” is another cool folky song, typical Jill. These two are followed by one of Sobule’s excellent rocking/sarcastic/snotty songs, “Nothin’ to Prove” (catchy and snarky!).
  7. Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.
  8. Mike O'Neill's The Owl was the first release on the Canadian net label, and can still be purchased there as an album or single tracks. Founded and run by O'Neill's former partner in music, Dave Ullrich, together they were Canadian indie music stars, if there is such a thing, as The Inbreds.
